I have a couple of visitors from overseas coming soon, and would like to give them a 'bird's eye view' of the city. Unfortunately Adelaide doesn't have any tower in the city for tourist purposes (although we SHOULD)...
is there any ordinary office building/something that the public has free access to? Somewhere that if we went to the 8th/12th floor or whatever, we could at least get some kind of a view of the city?? Daytime, perhaps on a Saturday.
... maybe someone will build a tower as part of riverbank?
Lookout/high building in city centre?

Toys R Us Lifts.

The Toys R Us lifts have a guard. Tell the guard the secret password which is "Going to the gym" my friends and I use it all the time.[Shuz] wrote:Toys R Us Lifts.
Also if you're non suss about it, go up to level 25 of the Westpac building. If somebody asks you why you're there just say the secret phrase, "I'm here for work"
If you want some real entertainment, tell a policeman, "A Klansman I am"
If you want something cheap and easy, go to the HJ's carpark top level
Don't burn the Adelaide Parkland (preservation society)

Thanks for the suggestions. I realise Mt. Lofty and Windy Point have good views generally, but I was after more of a "that's the main shopping mall, that's Adelaide oval, that's the town hall" kind of perspective.
