We are a couple and looking for a place to rent in adelaide city (good connectivity with CBD). Budget -> ~ 100-130 p/w. Any suggestions??

If you mean CBD Adelaide, I highly doubt you'll find a place in that price range. North Adelaide might get you a one bedroom. I don't have any particular suggestions but you might try contacting Bernard Booth who seems to concentrate on inner city and city places. Other realestate agents such as Ray White or LJ Hooker and Elders might be able to help. Good luck.

I'm guessing you're after somewhere that has good transportation to the cbd? You could try renown park, croydon park, etc.

What style of place are you after? unit/house. Also does it have to be fully furnished etc?

Are you from adelaide? Or are you overseas/interstate and need student accommodation?

100-130 is not doable in the CBD.

The closest you'll get is areas like Croydon, Plympton or Glanville. The bulk of properties in the 100-130 range though will be Salisbury and suburbs further north. And that's only for a flat.

Was about to say - add another $100 - 150 and you might get closer to the CBD -ish.

I am looking for something which is sufficient for 2 ppl..maybe a 1 bedroom would do..as long as it fits my budget. I am from overseas, so the contacts sent by you would be helpful. many thanks for that.
Also about the advance deposit...how much do people charge as advance/security deposit? Maybe a month's rent?
Whats the minimum amount I can rent a place for? I ask this because once we get jobs, we may want to shift to another place.

I'm not looking at furnished acco. intially. Dont mind a unit or house..though once we have pets would prefer a house...
It would be great of you can gimme some clues on the area and where to look for. I'm assuming going through the local newspaper would help.

That Pricing is for a Secondary School Student (which you would need to carry a Student ID when travelling)

For a Regular user it will cost $3.50 peak and $2.10 off-peak (off-peak is defined as between 9:01am - 2:59pm Monday to Friday - peak is at all other times).

You can save by getting a multitrip which has 10 rides on it. It will cost $22.90 for peak (equates to $2.29 a ride - save $1.21) and $12.60 for off-peak (equates to $1.26 per ride - save $0.84 )

Welcome to Adelaide!

There are quite a few apartments along Anzac Highway in suburbs called Plympton and Kurralta Park. These suburbs are good middle class suburbs and they are close to the CBD and to Glenelg.

There's a company called Maxina joblink or something like that. They help people find work, however I am not sure whether this company only helps people receiving Centrelink benefits (social security) or if they help immigrants too.
