It's just up from the current development - where Barbecue Inn and the old Vodka Bar are, opposite the carpark. 17 certainly does sound very tall for the area, surely it would have to include a significant setback.

17 floors of residential for 12,000,000? i hope they are small floorplates. while I encourage developments, I hope the quality is not lacking, which I fear it will be. Calling it student accom shouldnt be a qualification to allow cheap sub standard developments.
I hope im wrong as this will stand out in that location.

It surprises me that a student building such as this is being proposed when there's an over supply
of student accommodation in Adelaide. There's been a significant drop in overseas students
coming to Adelaide over the last 3-4 years as a result of the high Aussie dollar.

Don't forget Magill and Health-related courses will be transferring to City West over the next few years.

I think this one's dead, as UniSA now own this land, and have other plans for the site (see images in the UniSA News and Developments thread).

Are you sure? None of the new UniSA proposals are on this land. The closest is the glass render on Hindley St frontage to the CS building which is being built in an existing piece of unused land next to the Worldsend.
