Hope not. It is hideous. Fits in with the rest of the Brisbane CBD though...Will wrote:That is a private development.
There is actually nothing stopping a similar consortium proposing something similar here, other than the small problem of our smaller population base.....

Remember REM foisted the Myer centre upon us immediately after they packed up from construction the Myer Centre in Brisbane. Although way back then Brisbane had a similar population to Adelaide...Will wrote:That is a private development.

Hypothetically it wouldn't have to be on the same scale.claybro wrote:Remember REM foisted the Myer centre upon us immediately after they packed up from construction the Myer Centre in Brisbane. I asked the doc for the pills Shuz takes, but he said they aren't available to ordinary plebs because shuz has been put on a regiment of experimental drugs. So I'm stuck on the ordinary meds[Shuz] wrote:What pills did you take recently Rev?
I've being saying this for years too!! I'll be happy when the day comes that there's a building in Adelaide taller than the Westpac that completely changes the skyline. I keep following this site in the hope that one day I'll be shocked with a building that's going to really put Adelaide back on the map. I'm also going to say, the new Brisbane Casino is going to to leave Adelaide's for dead regardless of the redevelopment. I really hope the final design's a hell of a lot better than what's been released so far...rev wrote: For me it's part of "old Adelaide". Part of "old Adelaide" is all the negative stereotypes of this city. Kind of how the Westpac building has been the tallest building in this city for decades now with the rest of the skyline almost unchanged.
