What do you expect from a town of just 14,000 people?

Electricity polls have been removed from the main road, and are going underground now.
New light posts have been put up on most of the main road, but they're still putting ones up where the road turns into 6 lanes. It's due to be complete in early January.

Port Augusta, Whyalla and Port Lincoln all have or are getting Internode ADSL2+ DSLAMS. Port Pirie isn't
Nice railway station turned museum though.

Are the light poles in yet? It's April now.

Well, its one of those '6-lane roads' where you can only really travel in four, 'cos everyone parks in the left lane.

Hi Everyone,
Been watching the banter on this forum for a while and thought it bout time I provided a contribution.
Noticed an article on the front page of The Recorder (Pirie's local rag) from a few weeks back but being a relative newbie to forums have no idea how to insert the image here.
In brief, Centro spending $6.25M expanding Centro Port Pirie (the old Pirie Plaza), Woolworths spending about $1M expanding into the adjoining former-Blockbuster and a new Target Country going on a previously vacant block on Florence Street for about $5M.
Cheers,
Burger

Thanks for that Burger, and welcome to the forums. That's good news for Port Pirie - any tree planting going on? I seem to remember the main shopping area was quite devoid of them when I was last there.
cheers,
Rhino

Dunno bout the main drag but according to the article Centro will be planting 60 new trees in their carpark.
Can anyone provide advice as to how I go about putting the article in here? It's a pdf if that makes any difference...?

Just zoom in on the article and print screen it, paste it into paint or whatever, and save it as a jpeg and upload it.
