From Brisbane - have just spent a few days in Adelaide - doing a lot of 'walking on over' as they say. Found a new development proposed to ACC at 21 = 23 Tam o' Shanter Place - resi block of 11 floors. Still subject to ACC considerations re external materials, air conditioning and car park facilities. Applicatio made by a Mr. K.M. Brown.

Sorry I have no renders - will have to leave that to one of you guys.

No action on the site yet. Believe it's just behind Domain.

The following information comes from our SA Top Gun, Will.
I have obtained these plans for the approved AZUCAR aparment building at Tam O'Shanter Place. The 11 level building will be 30m high and include 17 apartments.
Yes this is the same one reported earlier Will and Skyliner previously. But in light of the added information, I think it deserves a thread on it's own now.

Yeah i've figured it out. 17 apartments is pretty pissweak, but the asian student chicks have a pretty good strike rate in the talent stakes so I support this development.

Strange building design... it looks like someone sticky-taped two cardboard boxes together. Although that last (elevation diagram) picture is better, making it look bigger and more imposing... almost looking a bit like 223 North Terrace?

Update: I just noticed those first renders were posted back in March... strange how I never saw this topic before.

An application was lodged with the ACC regarding this development.

The developers have applied to increase the number of units in this development from the current 17 to 27, but also to incorporate office accommodation at ground level. As part of the ammended application, the developers have also indicated that there will be changes to the building design and other alterations.

These changes are expected to add a further $3 million to the cost of the development.

The ACC has designated these proposed changes as being of a Category 2 nature.

Would this mean any changes in the size or height of the building? New renders?
