It's not everyday you get a curved proposal in Adelaide. this is currently a carpark and as a catalyst site (over 1500sqm) no height limit.
Same developer as East End.
https://www.wellstoneproperty.com/proje ... fax-street
Following the success of East End, Wellstone acquired this large site for a mixed use development comprising high-density residential apartments, retail, commercial and a hotel.
This landmark project is currently in the planning phase.

I'd be cautious about reading too much into that early concept image, but would be nice to have something like that looking a bit different.

Honestly it'd be great to see any resi get up, but this does look more interesting.

It's one block north of another curved building, the wave one on Gilles St, I wonder if the two will be visible from any given street level vantage point. I like this one!

Great location, and it will be good to see another factory that turned into a carpark being demolished.

It has a very gold coast vibe to it.

Yes. Also the podium slightly resembles that of Sapphire by the Gardens U/C in Melbourne.
I'm not crazy for the design (just not my style), but it's something different for Adelaide. Would be a welcome addition.

Great design. I work just around the corner from this site and did notice recently a for sale sign out the front of the "open air" car park. Was curious what that means so I hope that this is built. I was told that the reason why they remove the roofs from these car parks is it gives the owners cheaper insurance so would be good to see this under utilized block get a new build.

Personally I’m not sure why whenever a proposal with curved facade architecture is presented, some feel the need to say said design is “very Gold Coast”, when really, curved facade designed buildings of this nature can be found in any other mainland capital city in Oz, let alone anywhere else.
It probably should be said that this design is simply very “un-Adelaide” as curved facade buildings are so thin on the ground here, for many reasons.
Personally I really love this design and the intertwining of the blocks at different levels, one can only hope this progresses to construction as presented in the render, or in a form as close as possible to the render….

I'm surprised we haven't had a "perfect site for a new tallest!" post yet.

Gosh there have been quite a few disappointing updates with proposed developments recently. An absolute shame about this one.

15 levels is a good fit for the site, given its current surroundings. I'll wait to see the renders, but I expect this will be an improvement on what is currently on the site.
