Testing new version - please report any bugs here.

#1 Post by Howie » Tue May 17, 2022 1:49 pm

Hi all, sorry for the downtime earlier.

We've had some wierd issues with logouts and caching issues with our forums. I've upgraded to the latest version, please let me know if you see any issues with this.

Cheers

Cheers for the work you do Howie. I think we all owe you a beer or two...

Any chance that the new version could reinstate the 'thanks' option?

All good guys.

I'd love to reinstate the With Thanks plugin, but unfortunately the person who maintains that plugin no longer supports this version of the forum. I'll need to find an alternative.

Also, we moved to a new server today (Ryzen 7 5950) and the site performance should be a heck of a lot better.

Bug: whenever I post, this line pops up above the text. I have to hit 'Submit' a second time for the post to be successful.

I get this as well, it's bizarre. Some days I have to switch between my WiFi/ mobile data just to be able to post.

I've been getting that as well.

If you persist, it usually stops coming up after the second or third attempt to make the post.

I’ve had it before as well but assumed it was just a complication from my VPN or iCloud Private Relay.

Nope.

For me, I'm able to submit the post on the second attempt.

Edit: I was able to submit the above text via Tapatalk on the first attempt, then went to edit this text in and ironically got the error message on Tapatalk too.

As of this evening I am getting the Spamhaus blacklisting message when I try to post.
