Took a ride on the new tram for the hell of it, and had a look around.
Platinum is at 4 levels above ground. Next door there's a 2 level jobby which is close to finish externally. Think it's the new surf club/entertainment thingy.
Sorry, no pics, it was absolutely rooting down at the time so they wouldn't have turned out anyway.

Platium seems rather large compared to some of the other marina buildings by base area. could we get somemore pics of the entertainment complex as this is what im mainly looking forward to.
- Sensational Glenelg - The City By The Beach.

Went down to Glenelg today, and this development is aleady up to the fifth or sixth level. Whilst I'm not sure, it does appear that it will be slightly taller than the neighbouring Pier Hotel.
The other exciting news down at Glenelg is that the council appears to support the plans to install a 'London eye' style ferris wheel. There was a tiny picture in the Messenger, but it looks great and should enhance Glenelg as a tourism destination. The ferris wheel will rise to 28m.

Welcome to the site mate.
Last time I was at the bay (around 3 weeks ago) platinum was still very much under construction. They're moving along pretty quickly though, so I'd expect it to be open early-mid next year at a guess.
