Went to burnside for the first time sinnce expansion opened today. It is nice in terms of aesthetics but I’d say maybe 25% of the stores are open in the new section.

Won't comment on any of the controversy about the Walker Corp stuff. But I just wanted to say I really do think the plaza has been done fairly well. Feels like it has purpose now and is activated a fair amount with different events. And outside of that it does not too badly at attracting people ...

I know someone who works in the building and asked if they had heard anything. She said they just signed a further 12 month lease extension a few weeks ago. Not sure if they intend to build while the MLC building remains tenanted or just another puff piece.

This guy is constantly beating his own drum, yet has never got this off the ground. This has been around for over 8 years. I'd hope this is different but his proposed timeline is not practical given no application has been lodged led alone approved and ready for construction in less than 6 months ...
