I am hearing that this project has already been given a red light and won’t be happening.
State Gov has lost funding for it.

[CAN] Re: Hove Level Crossing Removal | $171m
Hove level crossing project CANCELLED according to The Advertiser and the ABC because of adverse reaction from local residents and cost blowout on the Gawler electrification. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-06-22/sa-budget-2021-winners-and-losers/100229878 Just weak as from a government that is cl...

Lower deck at Darlington, heading towards town is back to 60. Looks like they are looking at Sturt Road Bridge again.

[COM] Re: Goodwood/Springbank/Daws Road Intersection Upgrade
Does that mean the bus lane is going to be continuous before and after the intersection? I don't see it being mentioned in the final plans. No the bus lane will be staying in it’s current formation for now. There are some major issues with the intersection still, mostly turning right on Springbank ...

[COM] Re: Goodwood/Springbank/Daws Road Intersection Upgrade
Hopefully both parties will be encouraged to go around and fix more nonsensical dog leg intersections on arterial roads. The main ones down south that come to mind are: South Rd/Raglan Ave/Edward-Ackland St (should reroute Raglan to Ackland before R2P) This was meant to be done when Castle Plaza wa...

[COM] Re: Goodwood/Springbank/Daws Road Intersection Upgrade
First morning of the new intersection. Lights not fully operating until the weekend. It’s been an interesting build the last few weeks. Was very happy to see the department listened to the community feedback about the bus lane and removed while the works were taking place. Moved the traffic in morni...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
ok this is getting a bit of a worry. Correct me if Im wrong but the great western line in the UK that connects London to Bristol and to Cardiff has been electrified in stages over the past 5-7 years and has probably 300km+ of tracks atleast, but I don't recall the line being closed and trains cance...

Re: New City Arena
Wow. $700m to fund this grand idea. Labor could have a field day with this one; hospital ramping getting worse, Hove crossing should be like Oaklands, Gov doesn’t want to spend an extra $80m to do it that way, Adelaide 500 cut when it brought in $40m and the list goes on. This government is acting l...

[COM] Re: Oaklands Crossing | $174m
There is quite a bit of temporary fencing around properties to be demolished/land to be cleared from the Oaklands crossing continuing on Diagonal Rd to opp. the Aquatic Centre/Westfield Marion. Anyone know what the plan is? Or if its just going to be a wider, better lit path with landscaping etc? T...

[CAN] Re: Hove Level Crossing Removal | $171m
Don’t fancy this road bridge option too much! I like how they have made their non-preferred options look as destructive and desolate as possible! Totally agree. Wow. You couldn’t make them look less appealing. Grade separation is the best way, but the sky rail looks very nice, but that section of t...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
Is it just me or is that a very low bridge? I can't see how a B-double or a interstate coach could fit underneath. I haven't seen it in person yet, but it appears to be high enough not to need "low clearance" warning signs or they would have been installed immediately. Perhaps it is longe...

Bridge spans are in place (courtesy of Adelaide Now) Time to start counting down! This section is going to be finished this year and the government will still be scratching their heads over the final Torrens to Darlington section, the only section that they've needed to design and build themselves....

Anyone aware of what the issue is at Darlington at the moment? The lower deck heading north on Monday was 80km since than it has been reduced under the flinders/Sturt road bridges to 40km.
