[U/C] Re: New Police Barracks
disgraceful... what on earth are these decision makers doing. this definitely has to be one of the worst short-sighted concepts I've seen in a long time. And even their argument about seeing horses etc... the plans provided do nothing to support this, with large vegetative barriers in the way. The C...

[APP] Re: PRO: Queen Adelaide Club | 83m | 21 levels | Mixed
I am in favour for the height and bulk, along with elements of retaining the heritage building at street level along North Terrace. I feel however, that the style appears to be more "corporate" therefore reflecting an office building which would be more suited in another location. This tow...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre, Casino & Riverbank Developme
how dissapointing.. the renders are short of showing something truly world class. too much large expanse of open space not activated, there is no way there will be as many people there as shown in the images unless for a big event. very narrow minded and how unfortunate if this plan eventuates, a lo...

good on you mr. makris :applause: most other developers would have thrown the towel in long ago and sold the site to someone else but you kept at it and will achieve something which all south australians will be proud of. some of the residents in north adelaide are pathetic to put it bluntly, along ...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre and Riverbank Redevelopment
Things I would like to commend about the proposal: - urban design upgrade of Morphett St Bridge Great which becomes tree lined, with riverside walk open and with cafe and restaurants - replacing the original convention plenary building with a new 3500-seat meeting venue - open to waterfront and desi...

haha... actually, if you look into it by legal definition, a palm tree is cannot be classified as a tree because it's technical definition is in fact a type of 'grass'.
If the developers did their research, they could have won that fiasco.

[CAN] Re: #PRO: 37-45 Wakefield Street | 40m | 9Lvls | Office
Briggzy_03 - I don't like being anti development, but this building as proposed has some serious urban design issues dude. The streetscape is totally compromised with the buildings scale and bulk, with no respect to upholding a uniform street alignment. very little recognition has been given to the ...

what are you guys talking about!! this is absolutely appauling... while other countries are ripping these scars from their urban landscapes to replace with heavy rail and mass transit, ADELAIDE seems to be thinking the 1960's approach to perpetuating urban sprawl and promoting an unsustainable means...

i have nothing against this height and density, particularly in this part of the city. however, i do ask the question if the design respects the existing theatre in terms of urban design, which may i add; is the second oldest theatre in Australia! furthermore, the site plan appears to be too site or...

if i heard correctly and did not just imagine it, the news report says that the Council may only provide comment but the ultimate decision rests with the state government. this is just too funny. other parts of the world are approving larger developments and in Adelaide, we're worried about an 18 st...

Re: #VIS: Riverside (Entertainment Precinct)
why not put the new hospital where the entertainment centre is = good transport connection
and put convention centre / casino / hotel / fnb / retail / sporting / public space, etc etc over the railway yards to make it a mixed use inner city destination.
? works for everyone i think
