The AM/PM servo is now open in Mt Barker near the steam ranger yards. Is quite large inside and has tables and chairs inside. I assume they are trying to pick up a bit of traffic from the park n ride next door both at the pump and inside from coffee/food sales.

they are opening a store in Mt Barker to, currently in the process of setting it up. It's taking the space previously used by Rite Price and the Reject Shop i think.

Well the On The Run is open now, at Littlehampton at what used to be Baldy's. The Littlehampton Post Office is still operating in the building too. Woolworths Petrol have opened next to Bunnings. I was lead to believe that Spud's servo at Littlehampton would be closing when the Woolworths one opene...

There's also another servo being built in mt barker as well, an AM/PM is being built next to the steam ranger yards near the homemaker center. Should be open in a month or so. There's 6 servo's in Mt Barker now along with the 2 in little hampton.

not really industry news but the 2012 vintage is shaping up as the best ever for the Adelaide Hills, yields are down up to 50% but the quality is amazing! If ya like Adelaide Hills wines then 2012 is stuff you want to get hold of when it comes out!

there was also talk off shutting down most of Hutchinson street between Druids Ave and Morphett Street and turning it into a plaza/mall for cafe's and dining. They would leave open the little bit that gives access to the Coles carpark/Post office. Would be a good idea as the section of road is shith...

there was an article in the courier this week about the vacant block in the middle of town, it's owned by Big W and they have plans to build a 3 story Big W on it it if the council approves it.

a family member is working on this project, apparently the budget is "stretched" to say the least. He was saying that the exterior cladding is just bolted on and may be left off if the project can't be bought back in budget.
