Re: #U/C | Port Stanvac Desalination Plant | $1 Billion

initially flood waters would be pumped into large area shallow lakes next to lake alexandrina and the murray river... from here the water would later be pumped to a new set of dams thru the hills that are long and deep to cut back evaporation.

Re: #U/C | Port Stanvac Desalination Plant | $1 Billion

if we harvested the murray river floods like the following proposal there would be no need for a desal plant. http://www.nationbuilder.com.au/assets/States/SA/Default.html http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b202/grafvynda-k/SA-TheSuperLOCK-TheMurrayFloodCatch.jpg there would be many new dams and pipe...

I agree with what Gail Gago has to say about our parkland's, they should be better utilized by people. Our parkland's could be what the Harbor is for Sydney so why shouldn't we develop the parkland's and still emphasize the greenbelt at the same time. our parklands are already well utilised... we e...

Re: Brittania Roundabout proposed upgrade

The Liberal Party has pledged to start works at the five-way bottleneck within 12 months and to have the project finished by 2013. That's a 2-year construction period. An overpass constructed via incremental launch can be completed in less time than that (all-be it more costly). an overpass would b...

Ben Dineen's facebook status (Labor candidate for Bragg) "Ben Dineen Is calculating how much earlier he would have to leave to get to work if the libs put traffic lights at Britannia Roundabout. 10minutes? 15minutes? It's a bad policy that will disadvantage 50 000 commuters every day." i ...

Re: Solving the Britannia Roundabout Mess

i think the main problem is the shape of the roundabout which is squashed in on one side making the two western roads very close together... this creates a dangerous situation. they need to expand the roundabout into the parklands even if there is the usual bananas in pyjamas brigade of nay sayers. ...

Now that Regency Road and Mullers Road have been aligned with each other, I think we will see more of it. Certainly a Springbank Road / Daws Road realignment would save many minutes of travelling time. I notice there's also been some land clearing around the Marion Road / Holbrooks Road miss-alignm...
