Interesting that it is not been done by Woods Bagot.

does this imply lengthy delays on the glass extension? would appear so if they intend to refurb the existing building.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

For some reason i thought it had already been refurbished back in 2009?

I remember at least the façade being restored around that time. Bit of shine on the marble and whatnot.

The interior had a way to go from what I can remember of Tuxedo Cat's tenure there.

This cute little building would be perfect for apartments. Great news

Also I think it's high time for Franklin Street gets a major overhaul. I'm thinking wider footpaths, 24/7 bike lanes and lots and lots of trees. Possibly even creating a tree lined median strip. It's great that so much development is now happening on Franklin but it needs a true makeover to drive more investment.

The road is wide enough and doesn't carry that much traffic, so it wont cause that much hassle. Same thing goes for the western end of Gouger Street etc.

Great news, always drive past this one and hope that one day it would get a full restoration.

Cant wait to see how it turns out, i love the complementary look of modern vs historic.

The DAC are expected to grant approval to the upgrade on Electra house this Thursday.

As part of the approval process Aspen have had to confirm they do not intend to leave the former Creterion Hotel site vacant for much longer. they have mentioned they are in discussions with stores to lease the new upmarket companant and once they have reached the desired level of pre commitment they will be lodging an application. below is a new concept image supplied.

looks great. I like the way it gives access off KWS. Still think the City Central project was a wasted opportunity for a real landmark building at least to match the height of Westpac.

The project is still not completed. Indeed, the current plan for tower 7 is for a tower of 100m+

Cool, lets hope it reaches full potential, even if they have to wait a couple of years and not build it to the current prevailing economic conditions just to get something up on the site.
