It has been taken down - drove past this morning. Didn't have a chance to take a photo though.

I have to admit, that black paint makes a pretty big difference. Still not a particularly attractive development but not as doom and gloom as I first thought. Will have to check it out in the flesh next time I'm nearby.

Are those black pod things made of glass or concrete?

Glass. Looks pretty good in person. Might be an opportunity to build a sister on the plot of lands to the west. :D

Well I thought the balcony's would remain unpainted but being painted they look a lot better.

That side looks alright, but the western wall is horrible even after the paint job.

i like it - very gotham city...
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

That angle looks okay, but it looks very average from West Terrace. Looks unfinished.

I'm sorry but there is nothing acceptable about blank concrete facades, whether painted or not. Especailly from a government backed project, who are spruiking improved design etc etc yet are incapable of delivering it themselves.

We do not live in Soviet Russia, nor should we be expecting our "new" apartment buildings to look like they are built for there.

Looks nice now, let's hope they have a decent amount of case allocated to upkeep. Those sort of painted concrete surfaces can start to look bad very quickly.

The concrete balustrades utterly kill it for me. I think the paint job even makes it worse. Maybe if they were all white? Either way, hope it is quickly obscured by surrounding development.
