no, Adelaide Oval #2 is behind the members stand. Games are only played now on that oval you linked to while Adelaide Oval #2 is out of action, it's current'y being resurfaced now, ready to be used again.
That oval behind the members' stand doesn't look particularly big, or have a grandstand of any description. I'm surprised it would rate as Adelaide Oval No 2.
it was named that over 100 years ago...
but it is Adelaide Oval number 2, it has got a lot smaller over the years.

Can there be such a thing as "too many pictures?"
Taken Saturday 23Feb2013...they are really getting a move on with this
, I'm told the workers are putting in extra shifts to ensure it(the Southern Stand at least) opens in time for the Ashes later this year.
Big infrastructure investments are usually under-valued and & over-criticized while in the planning stage. It's much easier to envision the here and now costs and inconveniences, and far more difficult to imagine fully the eventual benefits.

No! Keep uploading photos of this and other developments and points of interest, including events.
The photographic record of developments in progress, as provided by S-A Forum members, is an excellent archive for the future. It's great to see major infrastructure eg public transport and redevelopments such as AO take shape and to be able to look back on this.

Speaking of the Torrens Bridge. Now that you can see the structure rise above the towering gum trees. You can now start getting a picture of what massive impact this will have on the area, it also makes you realise how close Adelaide Oval is to the city centre.

I can't help but think that the new southern stand being constructed is the type of grandstand
which should have been built in the 1990's when the Bradman stand was built. Honestly the
Bradman stand was way too small.

They only had a tiny budget for the stand and the state was still paying off the state bank at that stage.
