Unsure what to make of this - could be like asking the residents how to improve the asylum.

As I saw someone else mention — they scrapped the panel of experts that was the Integrated Design Commission, and now they want to set up a panel of laymen in it's place.

I agree. It's hard not to be cynical when the government not only abolished the IDC but has apparently forgotten about the IDC's very similar 5000+ initiative.

Exactly! Your had crowdsourced ideas that were then filtered/reviewed by experts, who then used them along with their own ideas and experience to inform direction. Definitely superior to this new concept.

Perhaps this conversation should be moved elsewhere, it has much relevance to development Adelaide, so shouldn't be buried in the off-topic thread.

well it forms the start of one

the policy is a short sighted, narrow minded, ill directed policy which avoids actually doing anything about congestion and simply raises the parking fee for people - and also acts as a disincentive for people to come to the city - given how poor PT is.

So in short, it is a stupid policy
