News & Developments: Mawson Lakes
Re: Mawson Lakes | Developments & News
New Woolies/BWS will be open for business next Wednesday 29 May2013.
I spoke to the Store manager briefly as I was in the queue buying some Friday Lunchtime supplies an hour ago.

Big infrastructure investments are usually under-valued and & over-criticized while in the planning stage. It's much easier to envision the here and now costs and inconveniences, and far more difficult to imagine fully the eventual benefits.

The new Woolworths store is already stocked and almost ready to go. The remaining stock in the existing store (apart from the fruit/veg) will be packed up and trucked back to the distribution centre later in the week.

Construction work has already begun on the new Target store with old Woolies being guttered and the existing surrounding shops being closed in and internal walls removed.

Do you know if this is becoming a regular Target or is it a small scale "Baby Target" as in what is at Golden Grove Village?

Re: Mawson Lakes | Developments & News
I saw it last weekend and was amazed to see it's already been completely stripped out, and not only that but they have already re-lined the walls with new plasterboard, and even flushed that new plasterboard.
I was there a couple of weeks ago and it was still a functioning supermarket. They are not mucking about, that's for sure!
