^^ assuming that's one of the new AFL coaches boxes.
^^ the AFL player interchange area which is possibly being used as some form of temp. seating for the cricket, maybe for media?

Coaches boxes is correct.
I'm thinking (and really hoping) the interchange area seats will be just more seats for Members. Many people love sitting in this position once the shade comes over, and would be pleased to have the opportunity having thought it may have been lost due to interchange bench.

If it's extra members seating, then that's a very innovative way of using the interchange bench area during cricket matches (though I assume they would use the interchange benches for T20 matches).joshyboy wrote:Coaches boxes is correct.

Would be highly surprised if it's for the press/media as they would have facilities in the Torrens/southern Stand.

And there's a whole media centre at the back of the Western Stand which would lend itself to use for Media at the cricketBrucetiki wrote:joshyboy wrote:spiller wrote:

whatever it's intended purpose, it didnt look like it was finished. it had some form of temporary staging/decking, and the benches, as you can see, have just been plonked there.

Thanks for the photos Spiller, well done!

I'd say the temporary staging will be in for cricket/out for footy, as the bench area is flat for footy. Need the staging to create the steps up for each row. Will be somewhat of a homage to the old green and yellow benches that used to go along the whole concourse of the western side pre-developementspiller wrote:whatever it's intended purpose, it didnt look like it was finished. it had some form of temporary staging/decking, and the benches, as you can see, have just been plonked there.

I'm really looking forward to the view of the stadium from Montefiore hill on a sold out day, being able to see straight into the stadium is amazing from up there.

That photo seems to suggest the roof being used on the southern stand is the same material as the eastern stand. Is this correct? It certainly looks different to the western stand.Briggzy_03 wrote:Courtesy of user TooFar on Bigfooty Forum.

Do you have a photo? I head it was gonna be 3 or 5 pavillions, with the Chappells, Bradman, and Giffen getting a guernsey. Hmmm...AdelaideAlive wrote:the western stand will be named the "Edwin smith stand" signage has been unveiled on the stand

Maybe smaller pavillion names, like the size & style they had on the Chappell Stands?AdelaideAlive wrote:nah I saw it through the gap as I walked down memorial drive, its in big black and white signage, pretty big so im guessing its the only signage on the standjoshyboy wrote:Do you have a photo?
