Sorry for not being online for a whil guys, been flat out at work.

Anyhow, City Central 6.

I had it confirmed by a worker on site, AND his superviser, that one of the City Central sites, will host a 31 level tower. The building was meant to be 21, but potential tennant commitment warranted the tower to have an extra 10 floors added. I found this out last Saturday, and all was meant to be signed off this week, so hopefully more shall be known soon.

As far as heights, the worker just pointed at Wespac house (santos) and said "about that tall."

Watch this space.
Walking on over....

oh Pikey, you have just made my day! Thats bloody awsome. Lets just hope the design is of a high standard, and we get something that will make all those interstaters who bag adelaide all the time a little jealous. Know its been said a hundred times, but in 5-10 years we will have an awsome skyline.

If the Currie St proposal goes ahead that would make a good cluster of 100m buildings.

Now we just need some tall buildings down the south end of King William St.

Potentially 6

Westpac
Telstra
Oracle
(Proposed Currie ST)
(Proposed Spire)
(Proposed CC6)

That's a huge change to our skyline should they all go ahead.

Sounds hopeful Pikey. At that height it had better not just be another box. Need something visually interesting at that height like the Currie Street proposal. A 31 level office tower in that location would do wonders for our skyline. City Central developers have an advantage in being able to show off CC1 to potential tenants for their proposed towers. Increased worker productivity and reduced sick days associated with green office buildings will hopefully continue to attract companies into these buildings. Hopefully we see a proposal, new DA and renders in the near future.

Every time I hear that number it seems weird to think that our tallest building only has 31 floors and yet when I stayed in Sydney once we were on the 80th floor i think it was. Take in account that 10 levels are underground. That still means we were at least 70 floors high. Still at least double the height of the Westpac. There was more of the building above us also.
It also seems like interstate they build a lot more underground than we do.

Well the Currie St proposal is about 125m so I would say similar to that, Santos is 135m, but I would say it would be shorter so about 125m as well... Will or Pikey might know more... Love to see render.

Holy flaming cows!
Has too made my day, it now shows some hope that the height limits are no longer a developmental barrier, and that there is serious consideration amongst developers to go beyond that barrier. Just to think... 3 100m+ proposals in the pipeline. Mediocre for other cities, but on Adelaide's scale, a serious improvement. :)

lets not break out the bubbles and shit our pants just yet!!

These three building need to be approved first....once approved they then need to be built!!! We have had tall buildings approved in the past that haven't been built for one reason or another!

Can't see this falling through due to the strong demand for office accommodation ATM. Hopefully this will be an iconic building - how good is this square going to look when finished! Glass, height and design all within one block beautiful.

BTW thanks for all the updates Beamer your a gun.
