Interesting read on two different proposals (and vastly different reactions) in Fisherman's Bend.
And the 74 level, 900 apartment building gets the nod.....

This project has been further expanded, making it:
"The biggest urban renewal area in the country. This area is bigger in size than the CBD, the Hoddle grid and indeed Docklands."
Effectively, Melbourne's city centre is going to double in size.
Addition of employment district, doubling the original area can be seen here:
