News & Discussion : New Restaurants, Bars & Night Clubs
Re: News & Discussion : New Bars & Night Clubs
Here's a couple of images from the Propoganda club's website.
The opening hours are interesting.
With the exception of Friday and Saturday night the Adelaide CBD is a dead zone in the evenings. You could roll up the
footpaths at 7pm.
Honestly who's going to go there at 4am on a weekday ?

Re: News & Discussion : New Bars & Night Clubs
oh yeah, that is different. I guess since the lock out laws there isn't much on after 2, which is a shame for everyone.Llessur2002 wrote:I meant the opening hours - open to 6am every day?Waewick wrote:why? it looks great. I'm going to have to get along and try it out.
I guess shift workers and the like need a place to go? higer amount of city dwellers these days as well so perhaps appeals to them?

Interesting that they've managed to get away with "due to building restrictions, no disabled access"......

Haha, the way it's phrased does suggest more "keep out" as opposed to "sorry".Allkai wrote:Interesting that they've managed to get away with "due to building restrictions, no disabled access"......

Loads of places are exempt like this due to grandfathering. There's many restaurants & bars around the city which only have stair access.Llessur2002 wrote:Haha, the way it's phrased does suggest more "keep out" as opposed to "sorry".Allkai wrote:Interesting that they've managed to get away with "due to building restrictions, no disabled access"......
I think they will do well. They're tapping into a demographic which does exist in Adelaide and for the most part is under-serviced. The interesting thing about the 6am closing time is that they are not exempt from the lock out laws. (But the Casino still is - that law needs to be repealed. Or at the very least applied to the Casino with equal weight.)
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

With this and the new HQ, this part of Hindley Street may actually look half decent.

It's a bit of a diveCrazy Horse really is getting ‘better and wetter’
HINDLEY St “gentlemen’s establishment” the Crazy Horse is getting a $9 million facelift, including a rooftop pool and bar — putting it in pole position to become Australia’s largest strip club.

Another bar about to open on Hindley Street :
The Little Red Door

This will be down in the basement area where Supermild was. Looks like more of an upmarket venue.

The Mansions Tavern on Pulteney has been converted into 'The Bunker'.
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.
