I think that this ones North facing views will be seriously at risk when the church site on a North Tce (just sold) is developed.

Being on the 30th floor of Realm, or Frome, in both their respective locations is a very good buy as it is extremely unlikely either of these sites will have their views blocked out by a nearby future development. They are both located in areas which are developmentally constained; pretty well built up, have heritage protections, and lack sites offering 1500sqm / unlimited height potential.

Echelon, on the other hand, it is possible that other 100m+ towers could go up in the vicinity, so I wouldn't be making so sure a bet about having uninterrupted views there.
I think it's quite likely that in the coming years we will get more 100m+ buildings, unless we get hit with another GFC.

134m+ buildings may not go up next to or within the vicinity of Frome Central to block the view from the 36th floor, but buildings just as tall or taller could go up in the areas just beyond Frome Cental and block it's view, at least of the hills.

From the Australian Business Review.

Interesting mention of another student apartment development for Gray Street.
Singapore’s Centurion buys Adelaide student housing site

Singapore-based Centurion Corporation has become the second developer this week to snap up a site in Adelaide for a major student accommodation complex.
Centurion yesterday flagged it was expanding its presence in Australia, agreeing to buy a site in Adelaide to develop into a $45.5 million student accommodation project.
It follows Singaporean rival Wee Hur Holdings, which bought an office warehouse building in the city’s Gray Street from James Richardson Wines & Spirits for $5.99m, and said it would develop the 2466sq m site into purpose-built student accommodation.
Centurion has now picked up a site off Rundle Street, near the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia and Rundle Mall, for $3.5m. The transaction was brokered by Savills director of student accommodation Conal Newland.
It is planning a 280-bed student accommodation facility, to be called dwell Adelaide, and it is expected to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The student accommodation will be part of a mixed-used development, Frome Central, including a hotel, serviced apartments and a car park, being undertaken by South Australian developer Kyren Group.
Centurion also owns RMIT Village in Melbourne, which it bought in 2014, and expects the new project to lift the number of its student accommodation beds in Australia to 736.
The group also owns a portfolio of student accommodation in Singapore and Britain, as well as workers’ accommodation in Singapore and Malaysia.
“(The project) will leverage on Centurion’s established operational and management capabilities in providing active community living within our student accommodation and will offer a welcoming, thoughtful and supportive environment for our student residents,” Centurion chief executive Kong Chee Min said.

What is it with this ridiculous tradition? Why not just wait until there is excavation required at the site and host the groundbreaking ceremony just before excavation starts. Whoever's involved could just dig a small amount of dirt out of the ground just prior to the excavators moving in.

Then it would be a true groundbreaking ceremony and remove the need for this cringe-worthy display involving a cubic metre of obviously imported material and golden bloody shovels....

Hint: It just makes you look like clueless pricks.

Pit, plus lots of rebar and starter bars would suggest the pad footings for the core are about to be poured.

The highest res version that Google knows about is 1657*931

(pro-tip, whenever you want to find a high-res version of an image just chuck it back into Google Image Search and sort the results by size. If you're using Chrome there is even a nice "Search Google for image" option when you rightclick on an image.)
