Helping Hand is building its ninth residential aged care home in South Australia with a state-of-the-art development at Golden Grove, with construction beginning in August 2017
The $37 million project will provide a new home for 110 people at its opening in January 2019, employing more than 800 people during construction and providing more than 130 ongoing caring, health, administration and management roles upon completion.
The greenfield site at Lot 504 The Grove Way is ideally located nearby to a shopping precinct and arts centre. It will meet growing demand for ageing services in the established community, in an area currently under-supplied with aged care services.
‘Our new home will help provide a service for local community members who will want to remain close to families, friends and within their neighbourhood as they age,’ says Helping Hand CEO Ian Hardy.
‘We are very excited to be able to provide Helping Hand’s high standards of residential care in Golden Grove, and look forward to bringing the most advanced design and service concepts to this contemporary build.’
When completed, the home will provide a welcome environment for residents, with sensory gardens, light and airy spaces ideal for entertaining family and friends, and comfortable areas just made for relaxing. The home will cater for all aged care needs, with dedicated areas specialising in memory support, respite and palliative care.
