I wouldn't much weight in it actually being H&M. Renders often have look-a-like brands simply to easily indicate the kind of tenancy they're thinking for that space.

Fair point, but regardless it is a sizeable floorpan, which tents such as H&M would fill easily and are likely to be scouting for it Adelaide is on their radar.

I actually feel that Zara is far better suited to RMP on the grounds that if they choose not to renew their lease at Burnside Village (which comes up sometime next year, I believe) they could relocate into RMP and take advantage of the office space above and relocate their head office into the building also. That was part of the deal struck with Burnside Village management at the time of opening Zara was that their Australian head office would also be a part of the centre.

Either way whatever the outcome is, the prospect of two major retail stores for Gawler Place is very exciting. Though my prediction is H&M at RMP and Uniqlo for this.

Very promising for what's installed for Rundle Mall over the next 12-24 months. It should be noted the city now has two Rebel Sports outlets. Considering they are basically right opposite each other, it's inevitable one will close soon. My guess is City Cross which would coincide with the news that Telstra is relocating, adding another potential retail development in the mix.

So far
Rundle Mall Plaza (two level major tenancy)
200 North Terrace (three level major tenancy / four level boutique tenancy)
Citi Centre (major retail chain)
$7.5m Gawler Place Upgrade

Now we just need some concrete evidence regarding tenants... Llessur2002? :P

I'm doing my best but information's not very free-flowing. Everytime I see a visitor speaking to the building manager in the Plaza I kind of edge closer and closer to them to see what I can overhear but no juicy tidbits so far

In Queen Street Mall in Brisbane, there are two Rebel stores almost right next to each other (separated by just one small building).

There are also 3 JB HiFi stores and 3 McDonald's in and immediately next to Queen Street Mall, so anything is possible!

Queen St Mall in Brissie is one we should look to. It has been set up in such a way that is inviting and always a buzz.

So is Rundle Mall. It's always buzzing with people.

It's really comparing apples with oranges. Brisbane has a warmer subtropical climate which is perfect for outdoor spaces, while our weather is more bipolar in comparison.

True, and I do like our food trucks but I think a little more can be done with the space? Even in a beautification sense, it feels sterile... I honestly prefer the feel of the Mall before the revamp as it had character. Just me though. Once better brands start to move in, I'm sure it will lift the Mall's feel.

They should have some planter box's around with seasonal flowers like they do in the squares. Add some colour.

Will be interesting to see what they plan for Christmas this year. More hazard flag bunting and dead trees or something a bit more extensive and practical.

Alex Antic said that the decorations will be a lot more extensive this year.

Lets hope so! I don't know what happened to the icicle lights from the year before. To just throw them away is a massive waste of money.

Would love to see something like Singapores orchid Road. They are not even a Christian majority country.

it also becomes a massive tourist attraction.

Too gaudy for Antic. He doesn't like the big tree in Victoria Square. He's been pushing for nativity scenes.
