I feel like this would be better suited to either the Tower Crane thread or Metropolitan Development.EBG wrote: ↑Mon Mar 19, 2018 10:59 pmThere could a tower crane at 179 Greenhill Rd Parkside soon .A small piling rig and some earth moving equipment is now on site so it looks like this project is start.Too late for a picture today. This site has had a hammer head tower crane stored on site since July last year. Stop all this doom and gloom.
Anyway, more project related: I found the attached image on the official website. Apparently 80% of the apartments are sold.

Went into their display centre today. start due this month after electric metal cover and contents removed from footpath in front of site. All other requirements established and ready to go. Also mentioned in conversation that Eschelon is re configuring the building to appeal to a different clientele. It is not dead.
Jack.

So today is the day 5 years in the making?
[COM] Re: 104-106 Currie St | 117m | 33lvl | Sofitel Hotel
Walked past at lunch and the display suite is very much still open and no Workman on site.

As mentioned by skyliner, SA Power is basically holding them up by not getting things in place in time... (but yeah, the lesson is never to make announcements with specific dates, those never work out....)skyliner wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 2:47 pmWent into their display centre today. start due this month after electric metal cover and contents removed from footpath in front of site. Received an email from the developer advising that the electrical services outside the site have been dealt with and that the display centre will "soon" close in anticipation of construction.

I drove past earlier today and the office wasn't open. It doesn't appear cleared out though

Most contemptible 2 storey building in Adelaide
[COM] Re: 104-106 Currie Street | 117m | 33lvl | Sofitel Hotel
No. Adelaidean and Realm are both taller than Westpac House and under construction. At best this could be 4th tallest. Possibly 5th depending on how things go with the student tower on North Terrace.

In context, it's height is roughly halfway between the current Black Stump (Grenfell Centre) and Westpac House.

Burnett Street was closed today for some services work. Not sure if it was related to the development.
