Ah thanks .... I recall reading something about that now.Patrick_27 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 11:52 pmMentioned extensively in the CBD Retail. Apart from the Rundle Mall fronted businesses (McDonald's, Nike etc) and the corner site (formerly Telstra soon becoming Suncorp Bank) the remainder of the centre will become a Foodland with the entrance where Aussie Disposals current is; no word on which Foodland yet.

The card shop moved to regent arcade on the weekend. All that is left is the nail salon, Aussie Disposals and Newsagency. Wouldn't surprise me if they had to leave by end of March.

The Rundle St Factory X musical chairs continues, with Jack London in the process of moving to where Gorman was.
Have we found out what the plan is for the Nova cinema? Looks like quite a lot of action inside at the moment, and the copper panels on the facade have just been taken down.

I thought I heard somewhere the owner is converting the building to office space
Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
The Citi centre newsagency closes next Wed. All cards are $2 which is quite good as some are as high as $10 each normally. No word on Aussie Disposals moving yet.
Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Aussie disposals moving to 208 rundle street (former mountain designs) in April.
Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Three guys in Romeo's shirts had their picture taken in front of the building. I guess that might answer what FoodlandPatrick_27 wrote:Mentioned extensively in the CBD Retail. Aussie Disposals is moving to Rundle St? With a lot of the clothing stores leaving this strip in the last few years, I really hope it doesn't attract more of this crap.
Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
That part of Rundle Street is already sort of a destination for outdoors stores, so Aussie Disposals isn't out of place.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Just a couple of months ago, the Enfield store on Cnr Main North Rd/Collins St closed down completely after trading for 'countless' years.
Due to inability to compete with Ray's Outdoors which is ironically a little further up north, it was no longer becoming feasible.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
We really need to bring a lot more boutique brands to Rundle St. Rundle Mall should be the main stream shopping experience. Which it is. Rundle St should be a blend of bars/restaurants and boutique shopping. What place does Aussie Disposals have in this area?
unfortunately Rundle St from a retail point of view is really lacking anything special. I just don't want to see it overrun with sub-par retail stores.
