A new tallest at this position will be both a big and small change for the city skyline. From some angles this would basically just replace the Westpac building if it is that size while in others it will add a big chunk of height.

Hopefully a new tallest, but even if it isn't it will still be great to see the current building go. Would be even better if the one next door went as well, but at the very least it will be completely concealed from the south once this is complete.

136m height, not 140m - taking it right up to the RTCC. Will beat Adelaidean by 1m if it goes ahead.

Thanks CDJ. Do you think we will get someone to build past this RTCC anytime soon or is the cost to be the first in doing so too imperative?

I need pictures before I'm sold on it. It is a smallish block so it really needs to stand out. Otherwise it'll look weird next to Westpac.
Developers need to start working for my approval.

Whatever proposal hitting the 200m goes through first will really have a chance to highly impact the skyline, given all these 130-140m projects go ahead.

Hi Ben. I believe a challenge is imminent. Whether it's successful will depend on the airspace authorities - there is precedent interstate.

BTW, I think number of levels is strictly 42 if you count ground, mezzanine and roof plant level. I suspect the building may have some curves to the southeast. I'm a fan of LZ's design work and excited about this one!

Thanks CDJ. Look forward to seeing this limit being tested.

The application says 39 Levels plus 3 basement which equals 42. Will have to wait to see plans to confirm I suppose.

3 levels of basement plus 42 storeys above (ground+mezz+39 apartment/hotel+ roof plant).

Exciting news. I am working overseas for a while so really appreciating the forum. These are good days, better than ever for a changing skyline and a more vibrant, forward looking Adelaide. With Kodo the tallest building in 30 years there are now 6 serious proposals, each taller than that (2 already started and three approved). It shows how quickly (past 3-4 years) the fortunes of Adelaide have changed for the better. Thanks again all for the updates, technical knowledge and great photos.

In a very noticeable place in the city. Looking forward to the renders. A new tallest!!! Big buildings are finally appearing in Adelaide.

Talking to young people in the CBD they are discerning that the city is on the move - they ALL love it. Mentioned the 30 storey plus buildings but they already knew about most of them. They all said the place is coming alive. (all over 20yo and working in the city).

Re floors - this one will also have the biggest floor count at 42 floors. The floor area reminds me of the 25 floor building recently completed in KWS near the current tallest. It turned out well.

ADELAIDE -TOWARDS A GREATER CBD SKYLINE
Jack.

Totally out of scale with the area. It's on a totally different block to Westpac.

Just because it isn’t thicc doesn’t meant it’s out of scale. It’s space is relative to infinity in Brisbane which is 240m.
Westpac is one thicc boi anyway.
