Thanks for the photo. Can't wait to get over there and see it in person. Not sure about the arch treatment, it looks a bit cheap, but I guess it might look different in reality? Also as I keep banging on about, I really wish they would update the facade of the intercontinental, it really brings the whole precinct down now.

Re Intercontinental, I totally agree.
I don’t know if the cost of this would be realistic but glazing over the building in a similar quality glass as the Casino would be very sleek. It has an interesting shape, it just needs a facelift.

Can someone make a thread in The Pub solely devoted to discussion about the InterContinental?

From the station under the new casino and out to the Riverbank:

Are you going to pay for it ??
Do you have any idea how much that would cost ???

GHB I clearly state in my post I’m not sure of the cost and I know it isn’t really viable.

Looks good, the curvature of the roofing reminds me of some of the metro subway stations in Moscow & Saint Petersburg.

Also here’s a quick photo of things at night. The Sky City sign was blue which was a bit unexpected.

Looks like an entrance (or two) to SkyCity or whatever is above.Nort wrote:Is there going to be anything in that tunnel?

Both SKYCITY sky signs ( SE and NW ) have changeable colour LED’s. From Chinese red new year, white to blue and everything in between. The NW is stuck on blue ATM.AndyWelsh wrote:I agree.[Shuz] wrote:Looks good, the curvature of the roofing reminds me of some of the metro subway stations in Moscow & Saint Petersburg.

That's optimistic for any business that sets up there considering on weekdays there probably won't be much foot traffic going that way.
