That multi-million-dollar footbridge in Dock One at Port Adelaide needs to have a drawbridge like you see in many canals in the Netherlands where yachts can fit through. Otherwise Dock One will become redundant. I hope the developers and Nick Champion realise this. My

worth.

Dock One is already redundant. It will just be another Delfin Island/West Lakes.
Wasted opportunity.

Great idea, but I can't help feeling they could have done something slightly more exciting from an architectural perspective. This one looks like it's been designed specifically to complement the Birkenhead Bridge.
Agreed. I've come across more interesting bridges in Singapore that have the same or less budget.

Pictures from Dock 1 yesterday - there are a lot of houses being built.

Is there any progress on the apartments they started building next door?

Don't think so.
Thanks. That’s weird - they started building the foundations in 2021 after saying all? the apartments had sold, and there’s seemingly been no progress since.

With the Port Dock Line being built, Renewal SA should consider transforming the old Wool Stores into Warehouse Style apartments

This should be a matter of urgency.

Who owns the wool sheds and how many are vacant? From strolls I've had around the area there still seems to be activity associated with some of them, and a year ago at least one still stored wool (which for some reason I found surprising).

Dalgerty's would have been a great one to be converted to 2-3 bedroom apartments, but it's now Pirate Life.
Elder Smith on St Vincent St & the building occupied across the road by National Storage would be good as apartments as well, even the building with the ambulance station next to the Colac hotel.
I wonder if it would be possible to add additional levels to some of them particularly the red brick stores.
Not sure who occupies them all, but quite a few are actually used by various businesses.

Don't they own The Globe Hotel? Not a good sign that nothing has happened there for years and the same people buy yet another run down building
