While down Jetty Rd I agree 6-7 storeys is enough, this site being also on Colley Tce and facing the beach could/should be 10-12 storeys as per the building next door. Plus the motel is only 32 rooms which is quite small. Ideally doing 60 rooms (and maybe adding an infinity pool) would have made the most of the position for many years to come.

Tenants have all gone. I assume this must be starting soon.

Those remaining shop fronts are going to be demolished?

I would say so, yeah. I'm pretty sure the new development takes up the whole block.SouthAussie94 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 11:13 amThose remaining shop fronts are going to be demolished?

Seems a bit odd to have the piling rig on site doing its thing when the demo hasn't been finished. I'm sure there's a reason, just seems a bit strangeNorman wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 2:12 pmI would say so, yeah. So maybe the existing buildings are staying and are just having the facades re-clad?

From what i could see in the distance, I think a tower crane is now on site for this development. I noticed a yellow hammerhead crane that looks to be on the end of Jetty (as well as I could judge from Shepherds Hill Road)
