Walking past last night, it looks like they're doing soil remediation in the southeast corner due to asbestos. Yellow caution tape that may or may not say asbestos on it (dark, didn't have time to stop and take a proper look as I was running late and it was raining). So they're probably remediating that before continuing into other areas so they have progressively clean areas to work from.

Until I looked at some old Google Streetview, I had forgotten that the Arcade's street frontages had that brassy metallic cladding rather than white. It was like that until about 2018.
