So just another office building built on what should be parklands taking away from a private development in the cbd core.
Agreed, building on this site for the sake of building. They could just as easily put BAE in this precinct by building on the opposite side of North Terrace where Budget Car Rentals and neighbouring former SA Health building(s) are.
If there is no viability in the previously proposed Innovation Centre concept, then don't built anything at all.

Article in the Advertiser quoted Peter Malinauskas saying the Tarrkarri Centre continued to be a “work in process…more as the open-ended possibility” and “we’ve got a lot of construction activity happening in the state at the moment and that increased demand can add to costs, so you want to get the balance right.
“But we keep the options open…no departure from the policy.”

Lol, do you think he's forgotten about the great big reinforced wall in the ground on the site at present? It's not like 88 O'Connell where they can lay some turf and keep it open until funds or further planning transpires.

No issues with the tower form however basic, but I'm sorry is that open undercroft car parking?
I know the site has a sloping elevation, but the last proposal dealt with it with generous public meeting space. If it's going to be built on parkland and not the city proper, it should interface better with the public realm.

If that is undercroft carparking it needs to go back to the drawing board.
Jesus, it's like repeating the worst design mistakes of the 70s and 80s.

This project was once exciting with it being an innovation hub and the indigenous gallery and now look at it? Typical Adelaide fashion they fuck it up royally and water it down to something so stupid.
This place is so frustrating

The equivalent of building a McDonalds restaurant in a farmers market.
On the brightside, now we get a personal touch of the neocolonialist British Aerospace Defence "experience" at the expense of our state's creative enterprise. I can really see the demand for building an National Aboriginal Art Gallery to follow on from the privatized British Defence contractor. Which genius comes up with these ideas?
I am particularly impressed that the design of these buildings calls back to every other building in the CBD mile but with just a bit less creativity. I really love the lack of inspiration. It makes me want to paint the botanic gardens in a dark shade of grey and roll in sharp gravel.
Something something jobs and growth I guess. Am I right everyone?

Yuck. Give me a change.org petition against this, and I'll sign it instantly.
Completely unsuitable for the site.

It's almost comical that a supposed 'Innovation' centre will be housed in a building that would look right at home 50 years ago.

I notice that previously announced tenants are no longer listed: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Services, Microsoft Azure.
It seems the delay in building must have lost them and the former development partner Quintessential Equity.

a waste of city space having a data centre in that location... they were probably looking for free land
