Ah yes, I found the ID, but documents doesn't seem to be there yet. Thats fine.
Great to read all that. I just hope the pool is being done to an exceptional standard, bc that's what truly brings a hotel to the next level of luxury.
cheers

I am so looking forward to having our first skyscraper at Festival Plaza, then it being overtaken by the Keystone building
Will be a great time for Adelaide.

Will be exciting to watch them both race to the top. Festival tower has a head start, so will probably claim “tallest building” for at least a couple of months.
Reminds me of the race between Frome central tower and Ream apartments

Race to the top? Only one has backdoor approvals and is actually being built. The other is waiting for something to happen.

You had previously mentioned that the numbers didn't stack up for the top levels to have hospitality options, was there ever thought of putting things like the pool and restaurant up there? (Aware that most hotels tend to put the dining near the lobby for easier access, so guess it makes sense from that perspective)MicBara wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 8:02 amScreenshot 2025-04-03 070820.png
I'll type something about this later but we always had an alternative plan for the museum. Having said that our states history will still be front and center.

Ok so here is the pool level. We wanted to achieve three things here:
1) Make it an appealing place to be and not an after thought - a bar, a view, all the usual features - we want pool parties and fun, way more than just a quiet swim in the morning for guests.
2) Connect the pool area to wellness, fitness and life - Westin is a "wellness" brand we want to make the hotel as "connected" and wellness focused as possible. South Australian's should not have to travel interstate for an awesome experience.
3) Limit the amount of wet guests up and down the lifts - something I don't see often is a change room pathway to access the pool. The idea is that if you're staying in the hotel (or even coming for a day pass) you can bring a bag with a change of clothes, change on the pool level, go for a swim, enjoy yourself and then have a shower and get changed again before returning to your room. This is a WAY easier way to manage kids and access the pool area without the embarrassing traipse back up to your room.

And here is a test fit (NOT THE FINAL LAYOUT) of the restaurant level with an open void looking down to the pool level with a full floor of wellness/massage/retreat below and our executive/business experience above.

Imagine a pool on the top level. That would be insanely cool
