Was disappointing the opening today with alot of white empty shops.t1002 wrote: ↑Thu May 29, 2025 8:26 pmSo Tiffany is confirmed to open in September with Watches of Switzerland on that side. LV isn't confirmed but most likley will secure it and that fit out will start in the new year. Gucci and Coach are the other most likley designer stores to follow. I suspect the other stores will not be as high end and more mid to street brands opening in the new year.
Its not 50/50. No way would they build that corner for it to be a mid range tenant. I think Tiffancy going in there is a sign that LV is pretty much a go. There pop up has been there for a long time now so I think they are still testing the market but in reality Cohen's have done there homework and have said they went all over the world to secure these brands. Only time will tell but saying it's 50/50 isn't right when the plans and clues are there but nothing has been press released.

What’s everyone’s thoughts, busiest I’ve ever seen burnside lots of non burnside locals. The Uniqlo is much better then the one in Rundle mall.

Think overall this place will be amazing when it’s done. Walking through on opening night was impressive despite all the vacant areas. Not never Adelaide-like.

When I was there Thursday night, LV was empty of customers. If they can’t even bring in customers to a smaller format store on what was arguable Burnside’s busiest day of trading in years, then how does one expect them to pull in the necessary clientele to justify a store three times the size?t1002 wrote: ↑Fri May 30, 2025 6:53 pmJackadl00 wrote: ↑Thu May 29, 2025 9:54 pmLV is a 50/50 chance not confirmed, Gucci will only sign if LV does and most likely other LVMH brands, I think they are waiting for burnside to give a really good deal for them to sign. Was very busy when I was there earlier on Thursday. Don't think one look at it at one specific time can really paint an accurate picture.Patrick_27 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 01, 2025 6:45 pmWhen I was there Thursday night, LV was empty of customers. Most luxury stores prefer to avoid crowded stores. There is a demand for it, so it is inevitable that they will open up
[U/C] Re: Burnside Village (Extension)
Saturday LV had a line up to sports craft, and the store was full.
[U/C] Re: Burnside Village (Extension)
People probably thought it opened up too, cause burnside barely did any advertising back in December for them.
[U/C] Re: Burnside Village (Extension)
I went there today and was super impressed with it.
Yes there's still a lot to open however the place was packed and I think it offers something unique that Adelaide currently doesn't have.
I actually have no idea why some people seem to be so hyper critical of it, it's almost like some people for some weird reason want it to fail which is just crazy. I think for future retail opportunities in this state we desperately need this to be a huge success.
LV also had a huge line of people waiting to get in the store which was good to see. At the end of the day those lux stores are not high foot traffic stores, I've been to Chadstone a lot and I've seen those stores in Chaddy with only one or two people in them. I'm really hoping that LV will be successful enough that they're confident enough to invest long term into the centre.
My gut feel is that Burnside will most likely be a microcosm that will be used to judge whether Adelaide is ready to join the rest of Australia with lux brands and if it doesn't work we'll most probably be another 10-20 years from them trying the market again.

So some news regarding the old part, Rodd & Gunn will be moving into camilla, Lululemon will take over Gorman and do a store Reno, Bed & Bath will be moving into Mecca, and country road will expand into Bed & Bath. Not sure what’s going into Carla, sunglass hut and the other Mecca store.
