Don't the Irwins want to turn Australia Zoo into a Disney park? I thought I read something about Disney possibly opening up in Queensland..

Disney were scouting around Australia back in 2002ish for locations. They considered Queensland but settled on a site outside Melbourne. But then the whole DLR Paris and DCA fiasco occurred and they scaled back their plans for marginal locales. Instead they opened a mini DL in Hong Kong with long term expansion plans, ramped up the Disney Cruise Lines, and they are pumping US$1.2 Billion into DCA to try to get the turnstiles spinning at the same rate as DL across the plaza. Disney Australia probably wont happen at all under the current management, due to our relative low tourism numbers.
