I don't know why you are giving this NIMBY dickhead so much attention...
We all know his/her comments lack intellectual and articulate insight and are pessimitically tainted for whatever reason he seems to hate development for. Why waste so much time responding to this person, especially being so polite (yet respectful) in your replies.
Let's move on with some more informative and credible discussion about 20-22 Currie Street please.
NIMBY - YOU ARE A DICKHEAD BY THE WAY.

Me believes NIMBY is actually PhilM operating under another pseudonym. Why is negativity
the norm with these people ?
the norm with these people ?

Actually I unbanned PhilM - so he'd have no reason to create another account.
[CAN] Re: #Approved: 20-22 Currie St - 123m, 31 lvls
i think if NIMBY posts one more piece of crap he should be banned permanently. If they were using hard evidence to back up these idiotic claims then thats alright .. but he's just posting crap to piss everyone off. We certainly do NOT need these type of people of S-A

I did this to leave him in no uncertain doubt that we can handle the 'stuff' he said while not leaving a justifiable bad taste in his mouth that SA is just a bunch of opiniated guys. It would be OK if he had the facts. Very poor IMO.Hippodamus wrote:I don't know why you are giving this NIMBY dickhead so much attention...

I stand by all of what I said before.
Still looking forward to actually seeing this one built.

Well some great transport announcements in the Budget but once again no Transport SA relocation decision. How many more years do we have to wait?
It looks like it will be up to a private company to lease space in this builing unless the government announces a tenancy requirement post Budget. The mooted Police HQ would most likley be in a purpose built building at a smaller scale which rules this one out.
By the way did we ever here a response to that letter to the Minister regarding this building?

I was also surprised by the lack of funding for a relocation of Transport SA.UrbanSG wrote:Well some great transport announcements in the Budget but once again no Transport SA relocation decision. How many more years do we have to wait?

I would have thought that having this one under construction in time for the March 2010 election would have been a very powerful statement of the state's economy.

Response regarding our letter to Hon Pat Conlon... if someone can repost this onto a separate thread even that'd be great.

Dear NIMBY23 I note that on your list you've identified that the Latitude at Glenelg is a "pie in the sky project" that you for some reason clearly think will not go ahead. It has since been approved. This serves to prove that it is your posts which are both irrealistic and impractical so the logical solution then would be to confine you to your own section that would help make this site both more practical and more realistic. Of course it would be the least read part of the site as no one other than yourself actually cares what baseless dribble you have to offer regarding, well anything really.frank1 wrote:Is this really because there is no interest in theses projects, or because you don't want them to go ahead because they represent a changing adelaide?NIMBY23 wrote:Is it possible to have a separate section on this website called Dream Projects ??
This section can include pie in the sky projects that will never go ahead. It can include :
1) 123m tower for currie street.
2) Inner city stadium
3) Twin towers at Glenelg.
4) Latitude at Glenelg.
5) Rail link to west lakes.
Currently this website is diluted with dream projects and putting them in there own section will make
the site more realistic and practical.
On another note I'm surprised that you actually have the cognitive capacity to use a computer, I didn't think neanderthals had the ability to type particularly given they don't have opposing thumbs and all. Nevertheless good for you and you've even learned how to use the internet. You must have bought yourself a copy of "Internet for unevolved thick as dog s**t dummies" and had someone read it to you. Good boy and who says you can't teach really really old dogs new tricks hey?

Interesting. Pretty much the expected standard Government reply but there's not much more he could say about it really. At least he may have visited this website though and that's a good thing.

Howie, was that the response to the letter than I initiated?
