Also, thank you Sensational Adelaide crew for your support, questioning, promotion, content creation and enthusiasm for the Rundle Lantern project. Your coverage of the project has been fantastic and really shows that there are people who care, are passionate and are excited about the growth of our great city!
Us art snobs would rather see less of this catering to the lowest common denominator (ie soccer hooligans).
I kid
The Lantern is a brilliant piece of public art. Even during the day I admire its geometric lines. Many congratulations need to go the guys at Fusion et al.
The IT geek in me also appreciates the hardware/software behind this thing. Although I'm loathe to the possibility of corporate logos appearing more than once in a blue moon. Except of course for the occasional scrolling text ... "SENSATIONAL.ADELAIDE.COM"
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

I think this would have pissed off the Victory supporters as their home pub was The Elephant I believe

Now if we can only get Damien from Fusion and James Hines together and get another lantern style covering on the carpark levels of Conservatory on Hindmarsh. That would look brilliant displaying subtle images all in shades of blue. It would really liven up Grenfell Street.

Hi Damien,
I spoke to one of your colleagues on the night, and she said that there would be a presentation of some sort giving information on how to create content for the lantern. Myself and many friends are extremely interested - when will this happen?

In response to darksidelemm's question about an upcoming Rundle Lantern presentation, there is an event currently being planned that will most likely occur at the end of this month. As soon as details are finalised I'll let you know.
Rundle Lantern info and images have been sent to Coolhunters so will be interesting to see if they pick it up. Thanks to Prince George for the suggestion.

Should post the pics to engadget.com and gizmodo.com too Damien... they're like the biggest tech blogs in the states.

Thanks for all the vids ppl. I missed out on going to the big switch on so it's cool to see some of what happened.
Got down there the other night to have a look in person. Big up to you Fusion fellas, what an amazing result for Adelaide!
One suggestion that my wife and I have... we rekon you should install a control panel at the end of Rundle Mall, where you can wack in a $2 coin and play some space invaders on the Lantern. That'd just top it off.

I flew home from Melbourne tonight and came in on the approach path that passes the city.
Rundle Lantern looks sensational from the air!!! I could clearly see the piano keys scene as we flew by
So not only does it look great from the ground, it looks even better from the air

Awesome news, thanks for confirming that. I asked the question a few pages back and no one was really too sure. Agree with Howie, we need photos from the air now.
