Re: Australian Railways forum
Does it have any features that existing Australian railway forums don't?

I had a quick look before I asked, but didn't notice any.Wilfy 2007 wrote:Yes it does, check it out.Aidan wrote:Does it have any features that existing Australian railway forums don't?
If you mean the state one last year, yes I did. But there was a problem with it: I had attached the report from my Investigation Project report, but the first time I sent it they didn't receive it because their email system couldn't handle files over 5MB. As a lot of the file size was due to the appendix containing the possibilities that I'd thought of but not investigated, I split the file into 2 pdfs: one for the file itself and one for Appendix B. They still had a problem with it, but I thought it was sorted out eventually. But after the inquiry had finished, I found they hadn't - they just had Appendix B. They did also have the text of the submission itself, but without the supporting document it was easy to ignore it, and they did.Aidan, did you put in a submission to the Transport inquiry?

Brian Leedham.
If you mean a different inquiry, no.

I just added each one as I thought of it.
It is not meant to be a supa dupa forum just an alternative.
I will take on board your comments and see if I can improve it at a later date.
Thanks for your input.

Re: Australian Railways forum
I always found the best way to separate threads was to start with a max of four broad categories and then see where your users take it. If after a while there's obvious separations with a good quantity of threads, you can split the threads. Otherwise you end up with a load of near dead categories.Wilfy 2007 wrote:peas and corn,peas_and_corn wrote:What's with all the subforums? Does any forum really need 29 of them?
