Seriously that looks absolutely fantastic, and is exatly the type of development we should be encouraging. I guess they will be on the pricier side, but if people are prepared to pay why not? With '6000sq m of landscaped gardens, courtyards, lawn area, pool and gym facilities', and '7-star Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme energy rating for sustainable development', seriouly what more could you ask for in a private development? Design looks pretty good as well.

If Walkerville has a problem with this I seriously dont know what thse councils want - nothing I suppose. State goverment (I know they have mooted for rezoning major roads) really need to step in to fast track such projects, otherwise you will have the typical NIMBYS protesting & frothing at the mouth, project will wait 4 years while waiting for approval, dumbed down to 3 stories, and developer will walk way.

dont forget that 5 storeys facing park road means that the taller building to the rear still has views over the parklands (higher value) and better solar access and reduced sense of enclosure for the internal open space

In answer to the bold, this tranlates to 20 000 Per year or approx. 400 per week - a phenomenal rate. At it's peak Bris was getting 1000 per week and this strained the whole place re infrastructure and caused a massive bldg boom. Is this figure for Adelaide serious? Where did it come from? If it is real, developments like this will have to be commonplace ...and planned for now. Hope the figure comes to fruition.
