North Western city bar
North Western city bar
Hi all,
Im looking at opening a new bar in the north western quarter of the city. Im looking for something tasteful, well presented, on a ground floor with between 250 - 400 sqm. You guys are the experts when it comes to property and development in adelaide and id really appreciate your opinions and suggestions. I am aware that there are plenty of bars, clubs and pubs in adelaide, but im looking at opening something nice, classy, and well presented.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Leigh.

Re: North Western city bar
What sort of radius are you looking at in terms of location?
Something like a West Tce, North Tce, Morphett St and Currie St square?

Hi guys,
I am going to move this thread to "the Pub" (ironic??) as it is more of a discussion on an idea, rather than a proposal.
Cheers

Although somewhat bigger than what is required, I feel this tenancy would be an ideal place for an upmarket bar. The building is in a good location and exudes character.

The following is just off Hindley Street, and also in a building oozing character:

Re: North Western city bar
it depends on what your aims are
personally I reckon Adelaide lacks really nice places like the apothacre (spelling sorry) which don't cater for drunken louts but you have to pay for that with more expensive drinks.
I really nice Whisky/Wine stlye bar with slight snacks would be fantastic (under the proposed new laws I guess) that has a nice ambience and casual music.
whilst a top class beer garden would be fantastic (think the Treasury garden) we all know what kind of people that would end up attracting - althought the treasury hasn't.

There needs to be a cocktail lounge gay bar because Mars is so shit, with its club music and trashy drunks. I'd like to be able to drink cocktails in a intimate, yet classy lounge setting with my gay friends.

^^ La Boheme on Grote Street
Not a gay bar as such, but certainly attracts the open minded individuals. Amazing cocktails aswell!
