that is extremely embarrassing, its almost unbelievable, until you remember that the Adelaide City Council is in charge of it

exactly. enough negativity has been spread about a temporary patch in a footpath...Pants wrote:As bad as it is, I'm sure it's just a stop-gap to prevent anyone tripping up until they get supplies.
Terrace plan cites war statue move

THE BOER War Memorial on North Tce is set to be moved sideways as part of the strip’s ongoing rejuvenation.
A $14 million master plan for stage three of the North Tce upgrade was presented to Adelaide City Council on Monday night (September 22) but councillors elected to defer final approval.
Under the plan, prepared by landscape architects Taylor Cullity Lethlean, the 1904 statue on the North Tce/King William St corner would be moved slightly closer to Government House to form part of a public plaza.
The slip lane for vehicles turning left off King William St onto North Tce, between the statue and Government House, would be closed and the area restricted to pedestrians.
Good to see that plans for the next stage are being finalised, although I am utterly perplexed at why the current stage still has not been completed!Ben wrote:From: The Messenger:

Does this mean no L/H turns from KWS into North Tce unless you have a green light??Ben wrote:From: The Messenger:

From King William Road to North Terrace. Like the corner of Frome Road and North Terrace, this intersection has far too much pedestrian traffic for slip lanes.bm7500 wrote:Does this mean no L/H turns from KWS into North Tce unless you have a green light??

Jeez, took their bloody time.jk1237 wrote:Now I dont want to get you all too excited, but they are actually starting to lay the final pavers infront of the Goodman building at the corner of Frome Rd. What they have been doing up to now, well, not much at all. So there is a now a 'ray of light' peeping through that construction fence, finally![]()
