Plenty of apartment developments over the years which have made a reasonable number of sales, but not enough sales to go ahead.

Driving past this one a few days ago, there is some excavation underway. Not sure if it's site remediation, but it definitely doesn't feel like a dormant site just yet

Ben shared a post about this the other day on the SA page, apparently sales are strong? We should see progress soon?

Work is still proceeding, currently the site is being levelled using recycled fill so that a piling rig can then pile round the boundary so that basement levels can be excavated. I cant see why people think that this site has stalled. it will be 6 months ahead of the central market site (which has stalled).

Close... actually not even close. The penthouse in the Market Square development was going for an asking price of $10 million. By far the most expensive in Adelaide ever.

Perhaps for apartment sales, but the most expensive dwelling I believe is a newly built mansion at Medindie, it was reported it sold for over $10 million, rumoured to be in the 12-14 mil range.

I could imagine construction costs are putting a lot of projects on a temporary pause for things to get back to normal. I've recently built a house, and it took 15 months to build because of shortages in materials and labour. I imagine the story is the same in the commercial sector.

Can anyone who has been past recently confirm whether works are still proceeding?

Nothing happening on site. It's being used as a car park when I last walked past a couple of days ago - around 5 cars parked on the dirt. Real nice!

Thanks for the update. Hope that this site wont be left dormant long term. Original post about the pause waiting for further sales said 4-5 months, so should be dormant until at least July.

Sigh...

No doubt, the owners will seal the site and use it as car parking throughout the Central Market Arcade development, nice little cash cow for three years…

There were works going on today, with a couple of trucks on site too.
