I drove past the site last night, and although my glimpse was brief I think there is a pile machine on site.

According to the plans put on display by the ACC last year (which are in the first half of the thread), there's going to be just one crane for this project. There'll also be hoarding along North Tce and Bank St.

I hope Parlamento moves back into the corner tenancy, too. Nice food, there.
Nothing has changed, really. I suspect it will fade into the background, much like Spark88 seems to have done - if I look closely I'll get grumpy and point out awkward bits, but because nothing stands out as being obscenely dreadful, it will just fill up a gap or two and I'll forget it's there.

It won't be all bad. It'll be covered in retail tenancies on street level so it will bring a bit more life to that corner on top of that from its residents.. Plus it has no car parks but a huge bike storage area.

Rebar on site suggests we can change this one to officially U/C.

Of course, if you can see the 40m Qantas House then yes these buildings will be seen from Adelaide Oval.
It is precisely that which makes this development exciting for me. The usual shot of Adelaide presented to the outside world is usually from the banks of the Torrens. The problem with this is that although picturesque, from such an angle the skyline has literally not changed since 1991. These buildings will change that.

Thanks AtD - could be only one due the 'great recession' too.
