There is a Mercure Grosvenor on North Terrace opposite the Casino.

Thanks for the images Howie, the building looks very stylish, however from the images it appears to be 9 levels, which would definately push it past the 21m height limit. I wonder what will happen.

As for the former westpac building, that is great news! I had a feeling that it would be converted into a boutique hotel, as the location and the building are perfect for it.

Mind may be playing tricks on me, but have 1 or 2 levels been added on to the original proposal?

Yeah it looks like it alg. I do remember an modification to an existing proposal on the acc dev register for a building on south terrace but i'm not sure if it was this one, didn't pay too much attention to it at the time.

And not just south terrace, but all over the city. I never thought i would get excited over 30m high buildings, but there are so many proposals hanging around in the 25 - 40m range. The good thing is that most of them are not in already built up areas, so while they wont make huge impacts in the skyline, they will add something. Throw in a few 60m+ proposals here and there, and all the ones underway at the moment plus the ones that will start in the near future, and in 5 years we will be looking at a completely different skyline me thinks...

there's something going up on the corner of Glynburn and Hectorville Rds opposite Nutrimetics at Firle. Does anyone know anything about this building?
