It wasn't ever going to be anything but a blank wall due to building design regulations that relate to the safety of adjacent buildings built right up to their property boundaries. It isn't really worth whinging about, particularly if another similar sized building gets built next door in future. You don't exactly want a window staring right into the neighbouring building, do you?
