[U/C] Victoria Tower - 36 Grote Street | 122.5m | 37 levels | apartments
[U/C] Re: Victoria Tower - 36 Grote Street | 127m | 37 levels | apartments
Great photo updates.
Both this and the Market development are going to have a huge impact.
But more so then these, I can't wait for when the 'square' between the 4 squares in the city are filled with high rise, hopefully many many apartment buildings.
Lifting the city's vibrancy and hopefully making it a thriving centre well after the stereotypical 5pm, 7 days a week.

I think you overestimate the impact apartment buildings have on vibrancy. Parramatta might be an example to observe or any European highrise apartment block projects.rev wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 2:31 pmGreat photo updates.

sevice/lift cores have had a jump in height in the last day or so making them more visible esp from north west.

Are we 100% sure this is going to 127m? Are we sure there’s no changes? If so, I think this will look nicer than I previously expected at 127m, a real asset to the skyline

Another crane rise won't be too far off either, there's still 12 more floor levels to come. It's impact on the southern edge of the skyline will be huge.

Is Victoria Tower gonna be taller than Central market Tower or is it vice versa?

The Central Market Tower thread says 130m, this one says 127m, so there’s your answer.VinyTapestry849 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 1:37 amIs Victoria Tower gonna be taller than Central market Tower or is it vice versa?

Tbh, even I found it a bit weird that that particular group (with the dragon) were flying the PRC flag during the pageant. Other countries and cultures participated with their own groups walking in cultural attire but this group waving the flag of oppressive regime that has a terrible human rights track record, immeasurable espionage activities in Australia and problematic expansionism tactics in the Australian real estate and agricultural industries seemed off. Especially considering Chinese culture doesn't celebrate Christmas. Anywho, happy to take that one to the pub, just felt it work backing up abc on that one because it certainly shows how much the landscape of the Christmas Pageant has changed.

Personally, I think that a Ute with a molar mascot on the back was more offensive. Nice looking building but

A photo from west parklands - the building is about to change the skyline

I'd suggest a crane rise is imminent on this site. The last core rise has the jump form not much lower than the cabin of the crane. I'd say the next crane rise will be the last too.
