I have just realized that the site at 121-124 West Terrace is on the corner of Gouger and West Terrace, on the site where there is currently a Liquorland. This would mean, that the previous proposal for a 3 level office building has been rejected in favour of this more substantial proposal.beamer85 wrote:I know i've mentioned this before as a "Multi Storey" development but I could not locate the original post. 121 - 124 West Terrace latest is this is actually a 8 level building. Will be interesting if this is approved. Will be a significant height compared to existing buildings in the area.

AN $80 million complex with more than 300 apartments is planned for Gouger St's former Mercedes-Benz showroom site.
The project would include 260, mostly single bedroom student apartments, 45 private apartments and ground floor shops.
The five-level development would front the entire Gouger St block between Selby and Claxton streets.
A separate three-level car park at the back of site would be accessed via Selby St.
The site has been vacant since the showroom moved to Mile End last September.
Developer Pua Ong lodged plans for the project with the City Council's Development Assessment Panel last month.
Project architect Paul Pruszinski said the building would be a boom for the area and construction would start early next year, subject to approval.
``The bus station and the Balfours site will help, and with this project you'll see the west really kick on,'' he said.
Mr Pruszinski said being close to the Central Market and China Town would appeal to international students and residents.
The complex would take about two years to complete and include a private gym, cinema and library.
Education Adelaide CEO Denise von Wald said it was an ``incredibly welcome development''.
She said the number of international students in SA was expected to grow by about 3000 this year to 23,500, with 30 percent of those living in the city and North Adelaide.
A recent Education Adelaide report said about 2700 new student apartments needed to be built in the inner-city by 2010, by which time there would be 30,000 international students in the state.
