I am reluctant to change the title thread, until someone sober checks out the site for real. I sort of, checked out the sight tonight, however I did have a power dinner with much wine and hence my recollection may not be what it should be. However I did notice some 'Hindmarsh' signage on the site as well as evidence of excavation. I would say this one is U/C.

I haven't walked down Synagogue Place, but walking past it on Rundle St each lunch time, there's always a handful of hard hats and trucks down the lane, so I dare say Globe is the reason they're there.

yeah, its about to begin. That piling machine thingo is onsite as well as an excavator and those pilon things sitting around.

However if we dont get a wriggle on with either this, CC8, or Uno apartments, we maybe left with no crane within the CBD/square mile, thats if the police crane comes down soon. Anyone know the last date when there was no crane in the city?

a yellow crane base is now in place, although situated in a weird spot - its almost in the middle of the plot

I had a look at the base today, and looks like this site will be getting an electric crane, not a Favco design.

My guess is it will be something similar to what Wave/Edge had (hammerhead), however with the narrow site, I would not be surprised it if was an electric luffing crane, the same style which are common in Perth.

I had dinner once again in Rundle Street tonight, and made an effort not to drink too much so as to report with validity on here tonight. I can report that there is a large temporary crane at the site, which suggests that the erection of the tower crane may not be too far of.

I didn't realise this until yesterday, but the construction site can also be viewed from Pulteney Street between Centrepoint and 10 Pulteney Street of Adelaide Uni.

Talikng about lane development in other threads, you wonder what effect this could have on Synagogue Pl. Hopefully it turns out much better than what I remember it to be.
